It's time for my review of In the Dead of Night.
Now I was really, really excited for this show because I was actually invited to review this and this was my first ever invite so I would just like to say thanks to the people who invited me. I was really glad I went along as this was an amazing play. First of all the actors worked so well together as a team. The 11 actors were great at making the audience think we were all in La Roca after WW2. The lighting of the stage was superb and the staging and set were also really good. They had various dance numbers which were really well choreographed. There were no weak links in the cast so I think I should give everyone a special mention. The amazing cast were: Judith Paris as Elvira, Ross Harper Millar as Martinez, Jordan Alexander as Massimo, Susannah Allman as Rita, Ned Wolfgang Kelly as Falchi, Matt Mella as Leonardo, Tristan Robin as Raoul, Daniel James Greenway as Juan, Joshua Clare as Alvaro, Danny Harris as Pedro and Victoria Sheffield as Juanita. This also had a great story line and it is one of those shows that you really want to know what happens next. After the show I actually said, "I want a sequel!" and I really don't say that very much about shows. It is a real joke that shows like Cats, A Delicate Balance, Once and Skylight end up on West End and Broadway when you have spectacular shows like this that end up in small pub theatres in Balham. I really hope this ends up on the West End and Broadway some day with the same cast.
The featured star of In the Dead of the Night is… ROSS HARPER MILLAR!
Ross is an amazing actor. His final scene is something that brought a tear to my eye. I know the other day he was in an incident with his bike so when you think what he has been through this week it is phenomenal. I wish Ross the best in his recovery and really want to say well done as he did a great performance!
Now for my final verdict on In the Dead of the Night. I give In the Dead of the Night…
I really recommend this show to everyone and once again I really hope this show goes to the West End and Broadway.
