It's time for my review of Jersey Boys.
Now I wasn't planning to go to Jersey Boys, it was just one of those right-now decisions. And I'm very glad I went because it was great. The main four, Michael Watson as Frankie Valli, Jon Boydon as Tommy DeVito, Edd Post as Bob Gaudio and Matt Nalton as Nick Massi were superb. Now I know I say this a lot but the cast really worked well together. They seemed like brothers. They also had impeccable timing and sounded identical to the original Four Seasons. It was funny to see the different personalities of all the band members. Where as one was a really tough guy who had spent time in prison, one was an ordinary kid from the neighbourhood. It's like Dopey becoming friends with Scar. The rest of the cast are also great. They all had amazing stage presence and seemed enthusiastic, and that is something some shows lack. Another thing that stood out were the costumes and set. It also transported us back to the 60s. It was really interesting to see about their lives and their back story's. It was also interesting to see that most of the songs were about their personal lives. The only thing I wasn't too keen on, and I know I say this a lot, was the swearing. I guess I just don't like swearing.
The featured star of Jersey Boys is, drum roll please… MICHAEL WATSON!
Michael Watson was the ideal person for this role! He even sounded like Frankie Valli. His timing and singing were impeccable!
Now for my final verdict on Jersey Boys. I give Jersey Boys…
I loved it and hope to see again some time in the future!
